About IIT Indore:  Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT Indore) is an institute of national importance established by the Government of India in 2009. Its campus sprawls over around 500 acres with around 3000 on campus residents. IIT Indore is equipped with a world-class research infrastructure with renowned faculty members. The institute is ranked 396th in the QS World University Rankings 2023 and 9th amongst the Indian Universities, highest amongst the second-generation IITs. The Department of Metallurgy Engineering and Materials Science (MEMS) has been functioning as a full-fledged department since 2016.

Weather of Indore during July 2nd week:  The average temperature in Indore in July for a typical day range from a high of 88°F (31°C) to a low of 75°F (24°C). Monsoon hits Indore in June. During July, there are clouds and weather is very pleasant with good breeze.  It is a good time to visit several nearby places of IIT Indore and can enjoy various sightseeing.

HOW TO REACH

By Air: 

Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport has good air connectivity to major cities of India and also from UAE. The airport is approximately 32KM from IIT Indore campus. The pre-paid and post-paid taxi are available at airport for IIT Indore, the charges are approximate INR 900-1100. 

By Train:

 Indore Railway Station is approximately 24KM from IIT Indore campus.  Taxi (approximate INR 800) or Auto-ricksha (INR 400-500) and other public transport are available the from railway station to IIT Indore campus.  For public transport, shared taxi/Auto/bus can be taken from the railway station to Bhawarkuan Square (approximately 6-7km). Then take the BUS M-19 from Bhawarkuan Square (Khandwa Road) to IIT Indore GATE-1.

By Bus: 

Indore is well connected with bus services from various parts of MP and other nearby states. There are several bus stops in Indore for interstate buses hence plan your stop such a way, that one can easily reach to Bhawarkuan Square (Khandwa Road), then take M-19 bus to IIT Indore campus. 

Visa

Foreign delegates (Other than Indian Citizen) or participants are advised to apply for an appropriate visa.
